The exact odds

Banker wins about 1.4% more hands than Player because it acts second and its drawing rule reacts to Player's third card. The casino charges 5% commission on Banker wins to claw most of that back.

House edge

Banker: 1.06% of the stake. Player: 1.24%. Tie at 8 to 1: 14.36%. So Banker is the better bet by 0.18% per hand, or about $1.80 per $1,000 wagered. Over a session of 60 bets at $100 that is roughly $11. Real, but small.

When Player is right

Player needs to win 50.0% of resolved bets to break even; Banker needs 51.28% because of the commission. If a rule you are following predicts Player at anything over 50%, it clears the bar; the same prediction on Banker needs 1.3 points more. A system that fires Player bets has a lower hurdle. What not to do

Do not switch sides based on the last few results. In live-dealer data the next hand is Banker about 50.7% of the time whatever the last one, two or ten hands were. Pick the side your rule says, size it correctly, and stop at your target. Sizing is where the money is.
