Every claim about a baccarat system comes down to one question: does it clear the break-even? Here are the exact numbers.

The base probabilities

From an eight-deck shoe, computed exactly: Banker wins 45.86% of hands, Player 44.62%, Tie 9.52%. Ties push the main bets, so among resolved bets Banker wins 50.68%.

Why 51.3% is the whole game

A Banker bet that wins 51.3% of the time makes nothing. At 52.5% it makes about 2.4% of the stake per bet. At 55% it makes 7%. The distance between "feels like it works" and "actually pays" is about two points, which is why a system's hit rate only means something on thousands of bets, judged on hands the rule was not fitted to.

Why this number runs the app

Every rule in Rack Chasers is judged against that bar on logged hands it was not fitted to, nightly, and a rule that drops under it is benched. That is the difference between a system and a superstition. What you are paying for.

Is Banker always the best bet?

Yes on expectation: 1.06% house edge versus 1.24% for Player, even after the 5% commission. No-commission tables that pay Banker 6 at half are worse than standard commission tables.

Can the Tie bet be beaten?

Not in practice. It needs to hit 11.1% of hands and hits 9.5%. With every card in the shoe known it becomes a favourable bet on about 3 hands in 8,000.
